Continue working in public service with Loyal Source

January 15, 2020

Our Employer of the Week series features one company each week that has made a commitment to hiring and supporting veterans. This week’s employer is Loyal Source Government Services

Loyal Source is a workforce solutions company providing elite contracting services to large programs worldwide. The company currently supports the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Defense and agencies that veterans fit right into.

"For us, that's the business we're in — the government contracting services industry," said Brian Beck, Loyal Source's Vice President of Business Development. "So it's a natural fit. We hire a lot of veterans and their spouses. It's a natural fit for our customers. It's a win-win."

Loyal Source provides training programs and support resources for veteran employees transitioning from military to civilian service. They also have specific systems in place to ensure service members leaving the military maintain government clearances — a huge asset for service members looking for their first civilian career.

"Veterans can benefit in many ways by having a clearance and keeping it active," Beck said. "So essentially you're opening up a whole new line of opportunities because there are classified and unclassified programs."

For many, the transition is made easier for veterans who are looking to enter the civilian career field in a capacity similar to their military career.

"It allows these folks retiring out of the military or government spaces to go back in as a contractor and support from a contractor perspective," Beck said.
