Connecting Vets Employer of the Week The CBD Path is not only passionate about employing veterans. It was founded by a former Navy SEAL who cares about the veteran community and fitness recovery.

“In a lot of veterans who’ve served in combat, there’s a theme with CBD,” founder Mike Donnelly said. “A lot of veterans are taking it.” 

The CBD Path sells a wide variety of CBD oil and hemp products online, including capsules, gummies, oral sprays and topicals. It also has a line of pet products. 

“We've seen our loved ones recover from surgeries, injuries, insomnia and chemotherapy,” Donnelly explained. “It was these folks and their stories that inspired us to start CBD Path.” 

Founded seven months ago in January of 2020, Donnelly said there’s always one category of job seeker who will catch his eye.  

“I make it a point to hire veterans,” he said.

Donnelly said veterans bring organization, passion and a strong desire to excel with them to the workplace.

“Military men and women have the best opportunity to showcase their ability in the civilian domain,” he added.

Through a free online quiz, veterans can navigate the company’s products based on a few simple questions then show them personalized recommendations based on their unique needs.

“Our biggest focus is on education on when, where and how to take the product,” Donnelly explained. 

Donnely joined the Navy at 17 and credits his service with making him who he is today.

“I didn’t have a path before I joined the Navy,” he said. “The military made me the man I am today.”

CBD Path offers a 20 percent military discount to all veterans and also donates a portion of its profits to non-profit veteran organizations.

“The CBD Path’s future goal is to open its own non-profit organization to allow veterans access to CBD who may not be able to afford it,” added Donnelly.
